ABOUT US:

The hamlet of New Brigden, AB is located 40km north of Oyen and 50km southeast of Consort, along highway 41.

New Brigden boasts a thriving community that endeavors to support the economical, educational, social and recreational needs of its citizens.  New Brigden is host to a number of services: a school that offers K-6 programming, a curling rink (with library, kitchen and bar facilities) and an outdoor skating rink (with heated portable and night-time lighting).

Our community’s prosperity is due, in large part, to volunteerism.  Time and resources are given by our local families to ensure that our facilities and grounds are well maintained, that our youth is provided with rewarding opportunities such as drama, skating and curling, and that future planning is always in the works to support and promote the community of New Brigden.
